What customers say?

“ The Panang curry, spring rolls, and vegetable dumplings from Thai Shack made for a satisfying meal with bold, balanced flavors and enjoyable textures. Everything arrived hot, with the curry creamy and slightly sweet, the spring rolls crisp, and the dumplings tender and savory. Overall this is my go to Thai takeout spot. However since it does have some delicious food the wait time is normally long averaging 30 minutes so I always do take out and order ahead. The food is delicious, and always hot. You won't be disappointed! ”

“ I ordered for a pick up their pad kee mao also known as “drunken noodles” which was delicious and definitely one of the best I’ve had. The woman who assisted me on the phone and for pick up was nice and gave great customer service. I also liked their chili sauce which was a tad bit different from other places but still delicious. It seems like the chili sauce was home made compared to other Thai restaurants I’ve been to. ”

“ Had the Tom yum soup and drunken noodles with pork. Tasty food Server was very pleasant and helpful ”

“ This is the best tasting Thai food I've had in a long time. The chicken and vegetables in the Green Curry were fresh and tasty. The curry itself was perfectly balanced and not too spicy or too mild. The Sticky Rice with Mango was delicious. Fresh sweet mango and purple sticky rice. Everything was packed with care. The Thai Iced Tea was also delicious. ”

“ To me, Thai food is like Chinese takeout. There are restaurants everywhere, but it's difficult to find a place that does it exceptionally well. On a night when my husband and I found ourselves craving some Thai food, we took a chance on the Yelp algorithm of suggestions and landed at the Thai Shack's door. The weekday lunch special is a great deal. A light salad and spring roll are served with some preselected entrees, and it's here I have to give the peanut dressing some hearty props. I don't know what they put in that sauce, but it was all I could do to keep myself from licking that little bowl clean. For our entrees, we both went with noodles. I was initially disappointed that the serving size seemed smaller than expected, but don't let the plate fool you - it's enough. At least, it was for me because I felt full well before I reached the bottom. My beef pad see ew was incredible, with tender pieces of beef and a delectable sauce that made me want to spoon it over rice. My husband also liked his pad thai, with lots of soft chicken pieces. If we had any compunctions with our meal, it was that our noodles were a little heavily sauced and teetering just slightly on the salty side. Service here is friendly. That, along with the cozily dressed interior, makes dining in a pleasure. I was especially appreciative that water glasses are filled from water bottles instead of tap (say what you want about food in Jersey, but the taste of its unfiltered tap water is absolute trash). The kind woman who took our order was open to small customizations (such as undressed salad and added spice in my pad see ew, which is normally presented as a non-spicy dish). ”

“ This place is a solid choice. The portions are generous for the price, and the flavor holds up. The Pad Kee Mao was well-seasoned, with just the right kick, and the Pineapple Fried Rice was tasty as well. What stood out was the quality of the vegetables—they were fresh, not like the frozen ones you often find at other spots. Overall, a good meal for the value. ”
